Product Care
I hope that you will enjoy your Cornflower Blue purchases for many years and I am always thrilled to see customers wearing and loving things that I had long forgotten selling to them. Jewellery, scarves and bags are all delicate, but there are steps that you can take to help them retain their beauty.
Jewellery Care
Gold plate, pearls and semi precious stones are easily stained by perfumes and creams. Please put on your jewellery after you have applied your scent, make-up, sun protection and moisturisers and avoid wearing in the bath, swimming or washing up.
Silver jewellery will naturally tarnish over time and can be polished with a silver cleaning cloth to bring back the shine. Storing jewellery in a jewellery box or airtight bags will help to delay tarnish.
Gold plate is not permanent and sadly in time all plating will wear.
Scarf care
Scarves are generally made of fine weaves and delicate fabrics. I recommend dry cleaning only, particularly for cashmere and silk.
It is normal for unfinished edges to fray slightly. This can be tidied up with small scissors. Take care with sharp jewellery.
Handbag care
Please store bags in the dustbags provided. Stuffing with paper when not in use will help to prevent the leather from creasing and cracking.
Perfumes and alcohol can affect leather dye. Please take care when using hand cream and hand sanitisers.
I recommend Renapur Beeswax to clean and restore leather bags.
